Jay arrived back at the office just as Ricardo was being served with divorce papers.  Ricardo didn’t even seem bothered by the turn of events. He just shrugged and threw the papers in the “To Do” bin on his desk. He gave Jay a quick once over and could just imagine what kind of mess he had gotten himself into now.  He didn’t have to ask though. Jay volunteered this information without question. He went into great detail about how he had been set up by, Sasha and how he thought his marriage was really over this time. Ricardo in turn shared his divorce papers with him and gave him the news about Sasha becoming the head of their division.

Jay was upset but relieved when he heard the news of Sasha’s promotion verified by Ricardo. At least with Sasha getting the promotion she would be moving to an office upstairs and would be far away from him.  ...

In an Italian Bistro,  two acquaintances talked over soups and salads. The pair sat in a secluded corner located in the back of the bistro. Nikki and Monique started out with the usual conversations of kids, parents and happiness.  Monique tried to steer clear of any questions that included the topics of husbands or boyfriends.  The conversation progressed nicely and for a second Monique had started to relax and forgot that she was there to talk business.

Monique knew of Nikki from high school and their daughters both attended the same private school, so they were involved in the same P.T.A group, but she had never really spent any one on one time with her. Nikki had always been cordial to her and made sure to stop to speak whenever she was in the salon. She would even have a word or two for her when she saw her out around town, but Nikki ran in entirely different ...

“Robin Harrison?” he said having become an actor in the blink of an eye, “That name sounds familiar, but I can’t say I know her right off hand.”

“She about my height. Long hair. Really pretty face. Big butt.” Sasha said giving her description of Jay’s wife who was still hiding in the bedroom.

“Big butt? Why’d you throw that part in there?” he said acting as if he were somewhat offended by her last comment.

“Because I know how you like a big booty. “ Sasha giggled a little and continued, “She’s a nurse at First General Hospital. You don’t know her.”
“Should I.”

“I don’t know. Should you?"

“I told you I don’t know her.”

“You sure?”

“Yeah, I’m sure. What is this about?”

Just then, Robin emerged from the ...

Meanwhile in an upscale part of town, two women sat in a very well furnished two bedroom condo waiting for their shared lover. Robin and Sasha sat going over their plan of just how they would surprise Jay once he arrived. They went over various scenarios of what could possibly happen and what he might say to cover his tracks.  Sasha had suggested that they both be sitting in the living room so when he walked into the house the first thing he would see was the both of them sitting together.  Robin made it clear that she wanted to hear him admit to everything that was going on before she stepped out to surprise him.  The two of them just couldn’t come up with a scenario that would satisfy either woman completely.

They eventually started comparing notes as to how he had been able to keep them in the dark on each other’s existence for nearly two years. Robin ...

Located across the parking lot of the shopping center that housed Shear Visions, stood the National Trust and Securities bank where even the tellers were weighing in on what had occurred at the salon.  The salon was one of the banks Profit Code A accounts, which meant that any and every banking product available to a small business was tied to this account. The salon made fairly large deposits and Tia even had all of her personal accounts with the bank including everything from a mortgage loan to IRA accounts and everything in between.  Gregory Montgomery who was the youngest son of George and Melody Montgomery managed the Shear Visions account. He was also the banks top producing account manager, but even he was intrigued by the gossip going on between the tellers.

He stood behind the teller line, eavesdropping as he waited for Lauren, the vault teller, to finish typing up ...

It couldn’t have been a good fifteen minutes later when back in walked Robin.  Face all tear stained, eyes puffed up with a head full of different color rollers. She looked like a woman defeated and maybe she was. She had been blinding herself to her husband’s affairs as long as she had been dating him. Was this her wake up call? Is this what it took for her to finally come face to face with the kind of man she had pledged her life to?  What kind of man has children by two different women leaving them both in the dark about the each other? Was she going to be able to go in here and talk to this other woman without jumping on her right in this salon?  She knew in her heart that this woman was telling the truth about her husband but that didn’t make the desire to punch her in the face subside. Robin also felt as if she owed it to herself, as well as, this ...

After Nikki’s visit the atmosphere of the salon had remained in disarray for the rest of the morning. Tia had disappeared on “business” soon after Nikki’s little visit, so the shop was all a buzz with opinions about how each person would have handled it if it had happened to her. It was nonstop conversations about what would have been done or said and with vivid descriptions, if any of them had been in either Nikki or Tia’s shoes.  The stylists on the other hand were discussing other employment options, as it seemed that they all might soon be unemployed. Just holding in the knowledge of what had occurred until Tia left had been almost enough to cause poor Trish to burst.  Both she and Will had alerted their closest twenty or so personal friends of what had gone on.  Clients who were actual witnesses to the incident filled in arriving ...

Shear Visions was just like any other mid-scale salon specializing in everything from acrylic nails to fusion weaves and all other services provided in the world ethnic beauty. A girl could get her hair done, fake lashes applied and a fresh pedicure all in the same setting. There were all of the usual characters one finds in a salon. An eccentric owner named Tia, who was college educated but prided herself on being true to her ghetto upbringing, causing her to constantly use neighborhood slang as her preferred form of conversing. The stylist to die for, Monique, whom stayed booked two months ahead with an extensive list of clients, who would rather be hit by a bus than miss their appointment with her. Trisha, the salon gossip, who kept constant trouble stirred up with her word of mouth news that she spread throughout the salon like fire through a bush, all before even bothering to get ...
