"Briana let me talk to you for a minute" said Shaquille pulling me to the side by the lockers.
"What?"
"You got plans tonight?" he said licking his lips
"Yea homework" I said.
"Let me take you out"

"Well I'll see" I said as I walked away from him.

I wasnt trying to get with Shaquille he was the school's all around hoe and my father definatly wouldn't want me with him. All the boys in the school knew who my father
was ever since I began getting titties.
"Briana!" I knew that loud ghetto voice anywhere my bestfriend Monica.
"Yes Ms. Ghetto"
"Uh-un who you be calling ghetto?" she said popping on her gum.
"You look at you" I laughed she was too funny.
"Well look" she said rolling her eyes, "I want you to double date with me on Sat. at Aviator"
"Oh sure let me just ask daddy," I said sarcastically I began calling him on an imaginary phone, "besides I don't even have anyone to go with"
"What if I asked Nasir for you?" she asked me. Just the sound of his name gave me butterflies I had a thing for that nigga, he was tall, sexy, dark chocolate that I wanted to
bite deep into. He had features like my father, looked like a thug on the outside but in the inside I knew he had a soft side, I wanted him.

"Okay.... Nasir! What's up" said Monica when he walked by.

"Nothing planned yet, I might have practice why?"
"You want to go with me and Briana here to Aviator" He looked over at me and it was like he didn't even know I was standing there until she mentioned me.
"Yeah I'd like to chill with yall" he said. The bell rang and it was time for class. The whole day I could'nt stop thinking about this nigga I wrote his name all over the last page
of my English note book. I was losing my mind wondering what the hell Ima wear damn why did Monica do this shit to me. When I got home that day my daddy wasn't even
home to ask him can I go out so I was even more on the rocks. My mother was in the kitchen cooking with my grandma. "Hey Grandma," I said giving my grandmother a hug.
"Hi Mommy, where daddy at I gotta ask him something"
"He's at your uncle's house, what you have to ask him?".
"Can I go on a date?"
"Briana-"
"Ma, before you start, I would be going with Monica and it's just to Aviator-"
"You know how your father is" she interupted me.
"Brian should just let the girl date, your father let you date when you were 16" said my Grandma
"He let Tremaine date ma!". Before we could finish my father, my older brother Tremaine, and my younger brother Brian walked in. They all hugged my grandma and my
mother and my Daddy kissed me on the forehead.
"Brian, Briana wanna talk with you"
"About what?" he said looking in the fridge.
"In private Daddy" My father went with my into the living room.
"What you want to talk about Briana?"
"Daddy before you say no, I'll be going with Monica and its only to Aviator-"
"What are you talking about Briana?"
"Can I go on a date?" My father paused and thought about his answer before he answered and all he said to me was "Be home by eleven"
"Daddy are you serious?!" I was so excited. I wonder what he thought about before he answered. "Yeah I'm serious" "Thank you Daddy" I gave him the biggest hug of his lifetime
I went to call up Monica but my sidekick rang before I could dial.
"Hello?" I answered
"Briana?"
"Whose this?"
"Nasir" I almost dropped the phone
"How you got my number?"
"Monica"
"Oh, well what's up?"
"Nothing, you?" I went upstairs because I didn't want everyone in my conversation
"Nothing I was just picking out my clothes for tomorrow" I lied
"That's cool" After that there was an awkward silence and I thought maybe he's shy but he couldn't be.

"Briana I'm not even gonna front right now I've been thinking about you ever since the hallway and I honestly called to hear you voice" Aww I thought that was so sweet I wasn't
fin to tell him I was thinking about his ass to so I just said "That's cute"
"What you doing right now?"
"Walking around my room"
"Can you meet me at the park? I want to see you"
"Alright" I hung up and went to my closet, I grabbed my purple knit Uggs and my purple blazer. I just left my hair hanging and I told my father I was going to walk my dogs. I
grabbed Nicko and MiMi, my two shih tzus, and I went to the park when I got there he was sitting on the bench. It was type cold outside so I was freezing. He took Nicko's
leash from me so he could walk her while we walked and he took my hand, I felt like I was dreaming.
"These your dogs?"
"Yea your walking Nicko and this is MiMi" I said holding up her leash
"They nice"
"You barely talk you know"
"Well I talk to a few selected people but to other peiople I'm quiet, but I want to talk to you"
"Why? What's so special about me?"
"Your beautiful, I know you #1 in the graduating class so you smart, and I know your personality is what's up because you got mad friends"
"How you know all this? You stalking me?"
"Nah I just know a good thing when I see it, If Monica didn't asked me to come on Saturday I still was going to ask you out whether I looked like a fool or not, I was getting
tired of watching you walk around and not being able to talk to you"
"Your really sweet you know'
"Thanks, and plus you fly as hell, you got like every kind of shoe there is to have, and I barely see you wear something twice"
"Want my to walk you home?" I wanted to say yea but knowing my noisy neighbors my dad would have heard about it before I got inside.
"No it's ok" He gave me Nicko's leash and I went to walk away but he pulled me back and kissed me on my lips. I damn near fainted, the way he held me when he kissed me, and
how he slowly stuck his tongue in my mouth, not too forceful but sort of a way to say hey let me in. We stood there kissing for about 5 minutes until I came back to reality and
realized that I had to go. Nicko and MiMi had tangled us up so we had to untangle ourselves. "See you Saturday Briana" "Later" The whole way home I could feel his tongue in
my mouth and I really could'nt get him out of my head now. When I got home it was time to eat so we ate then I went with Mommy to take Grandma home. On the way back
I told her about the park. She was like my bestfriend next to Monica.
"Wow, So you really like this boy Briana?" asked my mother shocked.
"Why you asked like that ma?"
"I don't know I'm just shocked at the fact that you actually tongue kissed him"
"Well he tongue kissed me I didn't tongue kiss him, Anyway I saw these new Louis sneakers that I want"
"You better tell your father not me"
"Ma what was your 1st time like?" I asked changing the subject.
"Why? You wanna have sex with him?" I knew my mother had been wondering that ever since I told her about the kiss.
"I don't know I'm just asking you"
"Well that shit hurt like a motherfucker, it was quick and to the point"
"Well damn why you have to put it like that?"
"Thats life Briana like on some real stuff, life is not always perfect and how you want it to be people have to work" My mother parked the car and I got out and went to my
room. School went by fast, when I got home Nasir called and we went to the park again, I felt so comfortable around him, we were played around with my dogs and he pushed
me on the swings. When we were running a little plastic baggy fell out of his pocket. I picked it up and it was coke.
"You dropped this" I said holding it in the air
"Oh alright" he said taking it from me like it was nothing.
"You use it?"
"No"
"Then why do you have it?" I said getting pissed off.
"Look I'm not going to lie to you, I sell it, you have a problem with that?" I could tell he was gettin upset with me asking him all of these questions. Not knowing what to say
I just said no. I wanted to ask why but I didn't want him to think I was judging him. Everything got silent and the moment was killed. He held my hand and we just continued
walking the dogs.
"I sell it because I need to help my mother and my sister out ok?" he just said randomly.
"It's cool"
"I don't want you to think I'm just some drug dealer because I'm not"
"It's cool Nasir you doing what you have to do" He hugged me and kissed my forehead. I was falling head over heals for this nigga and he was for me to. I went home and when
I went upstairs the Louis shoes I wanted were on my bed and a note. Enjoy your date tomorrow! Love Daddy. I was so hype I went to his room to thank him but he wasn't
there my mother said he had went out with my two brothers.
