MR. WEST...2(revised)TAKING SOME ADVICE FROM OUR BEST WRITER ON HERE, MR.G.D; I DECIDED TO ADD A LITTLE SOMETHING TO THIS. THANKS G.D......SMOOCHES
MR. WEST...2 I had a few more things to buy, and then I would be done at Bed Bath & Beyond. My bed was delivered this morning and I had forgotten to get any sheets. While standing there trying to decide between getting the moss, burgundy or the sage sheets; I feel something brush against my leg. I look down to see little feet in iron man sneakers crawl under a display rack. A little boy sticks his head out and puts his fingers to his lips signaling me to not to give away his position. I see a woman come around the corner looking under the tables. She is frantically whispering the little boy’s name. I hear him giggle under the rack. Looking back up at the woman, who I assume is his mother; she starts to look very worried. I clear my throat, but she does not turn. I clear again, this time very loudly and she immediately turns and sees me. I point down to the spot where I am standing. She smiles at me, and mouths thank you. She has a pretty smile; in fact she is pretty. She had a cute round face, a short haircut that really complimented her. I would not be a real man if I did not notice the size of her brea..... She was curvy and thick in all the right places. She had a body like a woman. She came around to where I was standing and bent over to reach for the child. Surprisingly though he was not there. He had already moved on to another hiding place. "oh he hates shopping as much as all men do?" " No he is hiding because he has a dentist appointment later, when we are done here." “Please let me help you.” “I’m sorry I don’t meant to be rude, but I don’t know you from Adam. I teach my son not to talk to strangers, and neither do I.” He threw is head back and laughed a deep laugh, which sent shivers through my body. “You are not being rude, trust me I understand. I just want to help that’s all.”
In all honestly I just wanted to stand next to her a little longer. She brushed past me, and her arm brushed against mine and I immediately felt an electric shock travel through me. I wondered if she felt it too. Maybe she didn't because she did not show any signs.
“Ok well you go this way and I’ll got that way and we will meet on the other side.” “Now if you find him, hold on to him because he is quick.” Off I went looking for Michael. Glad to get some distance between myself and this stranger, who had my senses going crazy. His laughter covered me like butter on bread. I need to get myself together, and find my baby. While looking under a table I caught sight of Michael’s feet running away. I jumped up and called his name. He turned and saw me and ran away laughing. He stopped, and stuck his tongue out at me and said “you can’t catch me.” He did not see Anthony step into his path so when he turned around he ran right into him. Michael was startled and looked up at what had to be to him a giant man. I had just enough time to get to Michael because he was so busy staring at Anthony. “I gotcha.” “Michael I have been chasing you all over this store for 30 minutes.” “I’m sorry mommy, but I don’t want to go to the dentist.” “Well if you behave, and be good at the dentist. I will take you to the fair.” His eyes lit up like Christmas. “Really, you promise?” “I promise sweetie.” Standing up I looked at Anthony. “Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.” “How old is he?” “5” “This boy cannot be 5 yrs old; he looks like he is at least 7.” “Yeah I get that all the time, but no he is 5. This is my baby.” “Thank you again for your help. I think I’ve kept you long enough from your shopping.” “Actually I came in here to get some sheets and stuff for my new home. I just moved in. I’m new to Houston.” “Oh ok, that’s good. Well enjoy the rest of your day.’ “Thanks you too.” She walked away and I felt disappointed. I wanted to talk to her a little longer for some reason. Although I knew it was not a wise thing to do. I watch her walk away and leave the store. I don’t know why but I follow her out the store to her car, once there I tap her on her shoulder and she turnS around and gIveS me the weirdest look.
“No I’m not some kind of stalker. I just wanted to ask you out to lunch.” “Uhm, I’m sorry, what?” “Lunch, You know sitting at a table, eating, talking.” “I don’t go out with strangers.” “You know my name, and I know yours so that does not make us strangers.” “I only know your first name and I just have to take your word on that. You could have lied.” “Did you lie about your name?” “No, but…” “So what makes you think I lied about mine?” “Ok how do you know if I don’t have a husband or a boyfriend?” “Do you have a husband or a boyfriend?” “No I don’t, but you did not know that, plus…. “My name is Anthony West, and I have no wife or girlfriend, and I would like to take you to Lunch.” “Ha and you want me to believe that is your real name? It sounds like a character out of a book.” “Well it’s not. It’s my real name. If it makes you feel any better. I used to be a police officer.” “Used to be?” “Well, I’m higher up now.” “I’m sorry; I can’t have lunch with you. As you can see I have my son with me, and I have a lot to do, plus I have to be at the dentist in a few hours.” I bend down to one knee, so I can talk to her son. “Hi Michael, my name is Anthony.” “How do you know my name?” “Your mommy told me. Listen how would you like to go get some pizza?” Michael hears pizza and starts screaming... “Yaay. Yeah, pizza.” “I want pizza mommy.” “That was not fair; you said pizza to a 5 yr old.” “Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.” “The pizza place is right next door, it’s public, and it’s still day time.” She looks as if she is not going to budge. So I hit her with my best shot. “Come on shawty, I’m tryna holla at you.” When she burst out laughing I knew she would say yes. “Ok just one slice, and that’s it.” “Ok one slice. Promise” She reaches for her son’s hand and walks towards the pizza shop. I trail slightly behind her cause I like the way she walks. Her son turns back and looks at me and I wink at him. He smiled. We both knew it would be more than one slice...
