The middle of the night found Robin lying in bed completely awake and extremely in need of Ryan’s touch. For now, her fingers would have to do. She closed her eyes as she let her fingers do the walking to the special place between her legs. She quickly found the same spot the Ryan had sensuously aroused with his tongue the night before. She used her ring and index fingers to separate her vaginal lips and used her middle finger to massage her clit. She used her other hand to squeeze and caress her bosom, as she tried to recreate the sensations that Ryan had stirred in her. She moaned as her exercise brought her an intense bliss, but nothing close to what she had experienced with Ryan.
She could feel herself getting closer to ecstasy when she heard Ryan’s voice say, “Do you want me to help you with that?” Robin was startled but beyond pleased to see him standing in front of her shirtless with his pants already unbuttoned, clearly ready to assist her just as he had said.
“How did you? What are you doing here?” Robin asked, as she stopped her fingers from their task.
“You don’t think I could stay away from you that long do you?” he said as he climbed onto her bed and kissed her navel. He trailed kissed down to her tummy to the place her hand had come to rest. He lifted her palm before he sucked her middle finger slowly, as if her were relishing the traces of lust she had deposited on her fingers. He stared up at her as though he were waiting for her to say something, which would have made sense, as her mouth was wide open. Finally, he asked, “Did you miss me as much as I missed you?”
“Yes,” she panted with bated breath as she anticipated his every move. She was so taken by him that she didn’t even bother to further inquire how or why he was there. The only thing she wanted to hear was the sounds of their lovemaking. She sat up to meet his lips with hers. She sank softly back into the pillows of her bed as he climbed on top of her. She parted her legs so that he could gain better access to her desire. He tasted like ecstasy and smelt like pheromones that were working their lusty magic on her because she wanted him in the worse way.
He pulled away just to look at her and she quickly got lost in his eyes, as they seem to echo what she was feeling. He bit his lip as he ran his fingertips over her exposed nipple before placing his hand at the base of her neck. Robin gasped as he pulled the back of her hair with just enough pressure to make her neck more accessible to his longing. Before he expressed his yearning for her he whispered in her ear, “I want you so bad.”
Robin grabbed his shoulders, holding him tightly as he teased her neck with his tongue. He would find his favorite spot and suck it hard until he felt her legs tighten around his waist, and then he’d tease her with a sultry love bite as he ran his free hand up and down her thigh. He seemed to hunger for her so badly that she could smell it and she fully intended to feed him. Her hands soon found their way to the extraordinary present he had for her in his pants. She was titillated just thinking about getting to see his wonderment again and as soon as she felt it swollen in her palms she smiled like it a kid at Christmas, and it was exactly what she wanted.
“Oh my God, yes,” she groaned as began stroking him up and down. She licked her hand for lubricant before she continued a thorough sizing of his member. He moaned in enjoyment of the attention she was paying to his cock. “You like that, baby?” Robin whispered his ear as she licked his ear lobe. He just smiled as he rested his head on her shoulder for a second while she continued rubbing his dick in a manner that he apparently found to be quite pleasing.
“What’s that sound?” he asked. Robin hadn’t heard anything, as she had been engrossed in what they had been doing but when she stopped to listen. She did hear something. It was a low beeping sound that seemed to be growing louder and louder. The next thing she knew there was a loud banging on the door that completely ruined the mood.
The beeping sound got ridiculously louder before the second set of knocks were accompanied by the sound of her cousin Monique yelling, “Robin, it’s time to get up! You’re gonna be late!” Robin opened her eyes to find herself alone in the dreary morning light of her room.
“Fuck!” she whispered, as she fought to free herself from the disorienting haze of sleep. She tapped the dismiss button on her alarm clock to quiet the incessant beeping that had pulled her from her amazing night of passion. As far as she was concerned passion was passion and if her dreams were the only place that she could get it, then she’d just have to go to bed earlier.
It had been two weeks since she had spent her unbelievably erotic night with what she considered the perfect man. She had snuck out of his life without so much as a goodbye. She had given him a fake phone number and hadn’t bothered to write his down. She had sworn their mutual friend, Velle, to secrecy on her whereabouts and any methods of contacting her. After the wonderful night of sex they had, she figured that he had gotten what he really wanted and since they were both adults there was no need to put him in a position to lie about wanting to keep in touch. Besides, she wasn’t in any position to even entertain anything more than a roll in the hey in her condition and she felt confident the loving he’d supplied her with was enough to last at least until the end of her pregnancy.
She had only gone out with Ryan because Velle had hounded her almost relentlessly about going on a date with him. Velle had told her that Ryan was a widow who hadn’t dated anyone since his wife passed nearly two years ago. Robin had been the first woman he had showed any interest in since his wife’s death. They had been introduced at the opening of the new charter school and had spent most of the day talking and making jokes at Velle and Monique’s expense. Since they seemed to have hit it off so well, Velle suggested that they go out but Robin had declined but Velle was persistent that she finally gave in.
Now, she wished she had followed her instinct and just stayed clear of him because now she thought of him almost nonstop. She dreamt about him every single night and he even found his way into her daydreams as well. Though the majority of her thoughts involved him throwing her down and taking her like he had on their only date, there were times that she just thought about what their relationship could be if she weren’t pregnant. She also found herself talking about him to whoever was around to listen, even though most of the time she didn’t realize that she was doing it. She even caught herself doodling his name on her clipboard at work. She could hardly believe how a man she’d spent so little time with commanded all of her attention.
The rain beating against her window pane made getting up that much harder but the baby on board made lounging impossible, as an immediate need to “call earl” pulled her from bed. It was mornings like this one that reminded her that it was time to go ahead and make an appointment with the gynecologist. She was definitely pregnant, something that she had been able to ignore before the morning sickness had kicked in.
“Great!” she huffed as she grabbed a paper cup for water. She continued talking to herself saying, “I’ll be throwing up all fucking day. Whoever started that “morning sickness” lie should be dug up and shot. I’m sick all damn day!” She swished the water around in her mouth before spitting into the sink.
“Are you okay?” Monique asked from the other side of the door. She sounded so empathetic that Robin wanted to open the door and punch her in the face. She didn’t want or need any of her cousin’s pity right now. She knew she was in a real shit hole of a situation and the last thing she needed was an apologetic Monique doting over her as if she had filled her with the sperm that created her little problem.
“I’m okay,” she called back in a tone that screamed “thanks for asking, but leave me alone”. She brushed her teeth and cleaned the sink before she got in the shower and pondered the dirty hand she’d been dealt in the game of life.
Robin hated to think of the child she was carrying as a “problem” but she hated to think of herself even carrying another child by her estranged husband. She and Jay had planned to have another child this year, but that was way before his affair and other family had been exposed. Now, she was stuck with the consequences of one afternoon of decent sex with a man who she’d just sent papers to finalize their divorce. He didn’t even know she was carrying his child and most likely he wouldn’t give a damn if the did know. He hadn’t call to check on the daughter they did have together, probably assuming that she wasn’t his biological daughter but he was wrong. Even so, she had no intention on picking up the phone to call him to let him know about the baby on the way. She had a good family support system, so she figured she’d be okay.
After she had gotten ready for work, she walked into the living room surprised to see her cousin’s fiancée tying the children’s shoes. He gave her a disapproving smirk as he said, “Well, good morning heartbreaker.”
“And what is that supposed to mean?” Robin said as she gave both the girls a kiss and hug before she made her way over to the door to make sure that she had everything she needed in her workbag.
“Oh, you know exactly what that means.” He said as she sat the girls on the couch, then made his way over to the door so he could talk to Robin away from the kids. He placed his hands in his jacket pocket, as he said, “so, why’d you do my boy like that?”
“Like what?” Robin questioned as though she had no idea what the problem was before she continued, “You told me to show him a good time and I did.”
“Yeah, but then you give him a fake number. He said he thought you two made a connection but then you never called him and he couldn’t call you. Why’d you do him like that? You know, you were the first girl he’s dated since his wife died. What? You didn’t like him or something? He’s a little weird but he’s a good guy.” Velle said.
“He’s not weird!” Robin said, surprised to hear herself getting defensive about a man that she was pretending not to be concerned about. She continued trying to calm the tension in her voice, “I did like him but I’m not trying to get involved with anyone right now. I’m technically still married and I have a daughter to raise. I can’t be getting all serous with some guy right now.”
“So, you do like him.” Velle smiled.
“What? Velle,” Robin sighed. She knew he was fishing for information that she didn’t want to give him. “Stop trying to read something into this. He’s a nice guy and we had a good time but that’s it. Hell, he is a dentist. He’ll find a nice girl in no time.”
“Yeah,” Velle said as Monique walked into the room with the girl’s raincoats. “Well, he doesn’t want a nice girl; for some reason he wants you.”
“Whatever,” Robin smirked before she grabbed her umbrella from the coat closet. She continued, “I’ve gotta go. It’s my day to pick up the girls from school but that doesn’t mean you two can stay out mattress testing all night.” She then waved to the girls, as they waved back and said, “Bye babies!” She punched Velle in the shoulder before saying, “Bye troublemaker!”
She opened the door to make her exit just as she heard Velle say, “I’m going to give Ryan your phone number.”
The rain was pouring down so hard that had created large puddles around the porch. She opened her umbrella before she shouted over the sound of the rain, “you better not!” She could hear Velle saying something else but she couldn’t make out what it was and her attempt to try would prove dangerous for her. As she strained to make out what was being said, she missed the first step and tumbled down the brick steps of the front porch. The last thing she remembered was flipping over the railing before feeling her face smash against the side of the porch then feeling a hard thump to the back of her head before succumbing to darkness.
