Ripped & Ready Family, I am humbled by your unyielding support of this project and feel so very blessed by all of the interest and sincere love you have shown throughout the course of this run, for the characters as well as for its storyline.    
My emotions are all over the place right now writing this message to all of you because I am filled with so much joy about the family that has been created as a result of this story.

RIPPED & READY (PART XXIV)
 
I was awakened out of a frightening dream by a ringing cell phone.  "D'Andre, your phone is ringing, baby," I said, nudging him trying to wake him.  D'Andre slept like he was dead, and I always hated waking him because he was always so...
"WHAT! NIGGA, DAMN!" he said in a terse tone, trying to keep his arms around me, not opening his eyes.  
Cranky 
"Come on man, wake your red ass up, shit," I said, pushing him back and forth, something he hated to have done to him. 
Finally he sprung up, "HUH?" He asked, rubbing his eyes.  His leg was heavy as hell.  When we were lying down that was cool, but once he sat up, it felt like my legs were being crushed.

Sorry I took so long to post guys. You know I like to keep them coming but my daughter broke my aptop charger so I had to wait for them to send me a new one to charge it up. But I'm here now.

RIPPED & READY (PART XXII)
 
The continued lack of respect that pops has for my moms was beginning to alter my personality.  I felt a surge of bitterness infecting my attitude.  Even though my mother told me that it didn't bother her, I couldn't help but feel that deep down inside of her, she was hurting.  As a child I never could understand why moms labored as much as she did at the church, but I clearly got it -- she needed to keep her mind occupied so that she had less time alone to stew over pop's lewd, disrespectful behavior.
